The Bantam
MD North Stars went 2-0-1 in tournament play before beating the Amherst Selects
in the Finals on Monday afternoon in the President’s Cup, which was played
February 15-17 in Niagara Falls, NY. Playing in front of a standing room only crowd, the Oakville squad was
led by winger Parker Crawford who scored 3 times and goalie David Riolo who
earned a shut-out in a convincing 5-0 win.
In Round Robin play, the North Stars defeated the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles 6-3, the Lancaster Firebirds 4-1 and tied the Clarence Mustangs 4-4, which earned the team a spot in the finals.
Members of the Oakville North Star gold medal squad include David Riolo, Sam Gima, Nate Bell, Mack Hunter, Nick Hulbert, Jeremy Clark, Parker Crawford, Tyler Stodulski, Brad Barrick, Josh Leibold, Matthew Neilsen, Luke Pilcher, Kyle Medd, Lucas Ulmer and Matt Gorman.
Coaches for the team are Steve Bell, Ed Stodulski and Paul Gorman. Pete Gima is the trainer.
