A 6-2 win launches the Jets into the stratosphere.
The jets knocked the sting out of the Stingrays - yet again. But the Stingray’s poor turnout (six skaters) hampered their competitive edge. It proved no match to nearly a full complement of Jet players. While other teams are faltering in attendance, the Jets continue with strong turnouts.

At 7:06 Sykes launched a weak wrist shot from the point. A look of astonishment appeared from his mask. Not only could he believe it went in, but he later confessed he was shooting for the corner boards but it flubbed toward the net.

At 1:03 left in the first Sykes along with Foss performed a well executed tick-tack-toe manoeuvre with Ferrari scoring.

The second period was McCoy’s period as he scored twice in one shift. His first came from a beautiful backhand.

(Although the score sheet is showing only one goal for Matt and one went to Sparling).

Coach Brian knew things would eventually by lopsided so he agreed to the team's request to switch positions, but only after four goals. We had three players ski all day and two played hockey earlier but the momentum was up.

At 5:33 Ferrari scored the fifth goal from new forward Chesnick.

The third period saw two “non-defenseman” pull non-defenseman moves. If you are the last man back you don’t try to deke around the players. Sometimes it backfires and sure enough the Stingrays scored twice.

The jets had fun switching roles but it came at the expense of Rusak’s shut out, but he too was enjoying the unusual line up.

The convener decided to let the clock run in the third period. Ribeiro popped one in making it 6-2 with Blake assisting.

A great turn out and another great game!
