The Minor Atom Red Oakville Storm blanked the Petrolia
Oilers 5-0 to win the Atom level Bradford Blue and Gold Classic Tournament in
November.
Goaltender Lucas Di Risio stopped everything that the older team sent his way to earn the shutout. Maanav Parikh scored a hat trick and Braeden Mazzon notched 2 goals in the final game.
In earlier game play, the Storm defeated Richmond Hill 2-1 and the Metcalfe Jets 10-1, and played to a 2-2 tie against the Petrolia Oilers. The Storm skated to a 6-2 victory over another Richmond Hill team in semi-final action.
Also contributing to the big win were Philip Tremblay, Aaron Bosnjak, Matthew Lahn, Nicholas Pospisil, Edward Skanes, Connor Reynolds, Samuel Appleton, Jeffrey Di Perna, Jayden Mangaroo, Quinn Foley, Ryan Morrow, Nolan Foley and Nolan Muller. Jeff Morrow and Alan Mangaroo coach the team. Greg Lahn is the trainer and Mark Mazzon is the team manager.
