As we approach the end of the regular season, our opponents are getting stronger, skating faster and checking more. It is making the games so good to watch. Today wasn't easy but you bounced back and put a "W" on the board. The Avalanche came out strong and challenged us on every part of ice. They had some sharp shooters, however, we had excellent goaltending with Nolan stopping the puck at critical times. With the game tied at the beginning of the third period, it was anyone's game. Your coaches and family were on the edge of their seats and then you came out with a flurry of goals in the last 7 minutes of the game. You did a great job at passing and shooting at the net.
We had great teamwork with our forward line of Jack, Nyal and Bobby. The passing in front of the net and taking a one-timer was so awesome to watch. And the last goal, with the shot going off the goalie's head and into the net, finished off the game. Keep up the great work!
The player of the game was Nyal. Congratulations, Nyal! With only playing two periods, he came out strong with 2 goals and an assist. He chased after the puck and was ready to take a shot, at every opportunity. He was a team player by helping his line mates with scoring chances, too. On the bench, Nyal and Bobby had a wonderful exchange of congratulations. They were keeping track of their points and they wanted each to have the same opportunities to score.
So, it is only fair that we have an honourable mention for Bobby. Congratulations, Bobby! He was on fire with his line mates, throughout the game. Great passing and excellent shots, Bobby! You really earned your 3 points!
