Green Lightning Stay Hot
Team Green Lightning used balanced scoring and timely goaltending to remain hot against a tough Team White. The 3 to 2 score was just like the game, close, as both teams played hard and benefited from strong goaltending.
Caelan was very sharp in net as was his counterpart at the other end. The Green Lightning haven't had trouble scoring goals and today they limited their opponents chances with some great defensive efforts from Owen, Matthew, Daniel and Devon helped by some strong back checking from Dylan and the other forwards. After a scoreless first period, Jack started the scoring with assists to Devon and Owen. Kyle scored to make the lead 2 with an assist to Barrett but Team White bounced back quickly to make it 2 to 1. A power play goal for White tied the game but with just over a minute left Hashem drove to the net and put Green Lightning back in the lead. The last minute was a mad scramble as White pulled their goalie for an extra attacker but the defense held.
