The Ice Dogs are fortunate to to have finished this one in a tie.
The Ice Dogs seem to have more chances and more sustained pressure but it's the final score that counts in the playoffs and the Ice Dogs were fortunate to finish with a draw. The Ice Dogs had their chances but just seemed to lack the will to finish around the net. They were soft around the opposition net and that was the difference.
The boys need to find that "never let up" attitude they have displayed for the last couple of weeks. They didn't get the puck to the net enough and were not aggressive enough when it was there. They did, however, maintain offensive end pressure but not slot presence. This will be important moving forward.
Three games left to decide the finals participants. Every point is crucial and now is the time to step it up. The Ice Dogs next opponent has given them problems all season long and they must over come the lack of slot pressure to be successful.
