Heart Breaker.
Today was an absolute heart breaker. For the second time this season the Ice Dogs lost an extremely well played game with less than 40 seconds left in the game.
The boys deserved much better over the last few games. It’s disappointing that they’ve had the bad luck they’ve had. They deserve better for their efforts especially today.
Overall, the level all of the boys are reaching at this stage in the season is encouraging. The team still needs work, but the Ice Dogs are destined to go up from here as the law of averages must catch up eventually (it is a law after all). The Ice Dogs have put together a string of really good games with only 2 points to show for it.
The team must now focus on offence. They have a good grasp on defence and they will continue to work on this but they must now learn what it takes to finish. They have many chances each game but are simply unable to put the puck in the net. This is where the practices will focus over the next little while.
