For exam week we had a great turn out, but “examitis”
finally crept into the picture.
At 5:19 Watson took his time waiting for the right moment to release his shot. Patience persevered as he put the Jets on the scoreboard in the first.
Before the game, coach Brian told Chesnick (who was moved up from D) to capitalize on his hard slap shot. At 10:11 in the second, that is exactly what he did by rifling one from the blue line into the top shelf. What a beauty!
One minute later Rasquin decided to follow suit by a hard wrist shot with Ribeiro and Simonot helping to make it happen.
But Rusak’s shut out was broken at 6:52 in the second. He stopped numerous shots along with two breakaways.
It looked like the two 12 minute and one 15 minute periods caught up to the soaring Jets. (I won’t mention the Stars had only two spares on their bench). The energy subsided as the dreaded examitis infiltrated the bench.
It still turned out to be a great game and we the coaching staff wish the players all the best with their pending exams.
