Jets pounce the Lumberjacks launching a great start to the
play offs.
The first shift saw the Jets pour it on with at least seven shots on net. Ribeiro got the goal with Blake and McCoy assisting.
At 7:38 Sparling took a slap shot from the point with McCoy making it 2-0 in the first.
The second period saw the Lumberjacks capitalize on a moment where the Jets were caught standing still.
The "insurance" goal came at 14:19 in the third as Sutton whirled a nice wrist shot with Foss and Sparling helping out.
With two minutes left in the game, the Lumberjacks in a last ditch effort, pulled the goalie. Ferrari cautiously placed the puck in an empty net thereby putting the “cherry on top” to the win with goalie Rusak getting the “cherry on top” assist. Rusak deserved it because he kept us in the game the entire night.
Even though we were missing three key players, it goes to show the Jets have a solid team.
