The Jet's winning streak continues as they end the regular
season in second place!
Rusak’s shut out added icing on the cake.
Coach Brian always averred, the Jets have a funny way of completing the task, but when they do, look out. Tonight was no exception as the Jets started off kind of groggy. Luckily Rusak was on top of his game while his team took time to spool up.
The first period went scoreless as the league’s top scorer (#10 on the Lumberjacks) tried frantically to makes things happen.
The second period saw the Jets come alive. With just 22 seconds left, Simonot scored a wicked goal very deep in the opponents end with Sutton helping.
At 9:06 in the third period, Jedryk pops one in unassisted. The insurance goal came at 4:32 left in the game as Sutton scored assisted by Blake.
The jets should be proud of their great season. Turn out has been nothing short of fantastic and the guys jelled as a team.
